A New Chapter in Our LA Story

Tomorrow marks the date of our move from our apartment of nearly 4 years. The one place we have called home in Los Angeles and the place that we have spent the longest in together. In August of 2003, when we moved to LA, it was a pretty terrifying experience. Not only had we left the comfortable and cozy Hamlet of Santa Cruz behind for the bustling metropolis but we were both unemployed and we had less money in our checking account than I’ve currently got in my pocket. Things are much better this time around and I certainly feel much more mentally prepared for the shake-up this time around. Though it will still, obviously, be an adjustment. Things like where we will keep our tooth-brushes, how the sunlight will come-through the window in the morning, and my route home after work are subtle changes that really have a noticeable effect on your psyche. We are only 24 hours away from the physical MOVE, but still many days left of the mental upheaval. But I’m pretty excited about it all…
